Hi, thank you for visiting my blog and reading all the crap that I’m posting here. Developing software is one of my greatest passions in life, and I enjoy doing it every single day. I’ve got three kids (Len, Lisa & Laura) who constantly remind me that there is more in life than just programming all day. They are the greatest kids in the whole world. And last but not least, there’s my girlfriend who is my inspiration in life. You can always contact me at jan_dot_van_dot_ryswyck at gmail.com

Hi,
I am Kazi Manzur Rashid an MVP in ASP.NET. I am launching a new community site for .NET Developers – A Digg kind of Style but much better than DotNetKicks and also Open Source.
The private beta is hosted at
http://privatebeta.dotnetshoutout.com
Initially it was developed with first preview of ASP.NET MVC under the name of Kigg. Recently, I have updated it with latest version. It is my attempt to develop an application following Domain Driven Design with MS Tooling. Currently It uses:
1. LinqToSQL.
2. MS Enterprise Framework Logging, Caching and Unity application blocks.
3. ASP.NET MVC.
4. jQuery, jQuery UI Components.
5. xUnit, Moq
6. SQL Server 2005.
It has some nice integration with external services such as:
1. PageGlimpse, WebSnapr – For thumbnail generation.
2. Akismet, TypePad and Defensio.
3. reCaptcha
4. OpenID & Gravatar
Open Standard implementation:
1. hAtom, hReview, hVote, xFolk
2. OpenSearch
3. SiteMap (Standard, Mobile, News)
4. RSS/Atom
As an active member of .NET community, I really need your feedback. If you are interested in the implementation I would love to send you the source codes.
Thanks
Kazi Manzur Rashid
