John Sonmez is an independent consultant specializing in software development best practices.  He has been working in the industry in various roles, but always writing code, for over a decade.  During that time John has contributed to the development of document management software for Xerox, several HP printers, many start-up companies, and too many enterprise applications to count.

John strongly believes the single strongest attribute of a good developer is the ability to make the complex simple.  (Which happens to be the name of his personal blog at http://simpleprogrammer.com.)

John has a passion for writing good code.  He loves to share that passion with others, and loves to learn.  He prefers C# and .NET but is also well versed in Java, and would have no problem telling you the merits of each.   Maps, function pointers, and enumerations are some of his favorite tools.

When not writing code, he can be found reading books about writing code, doing real estate investment, and playing video games.
