I am a consultant and partner for River Moss Technologies.  I have been enthusiastic about programming since I was about 11 years old, when I found a Logic book for the Adam computer at my house and made a turtle move across the screen. Since then, I have been lucky enough to have great mentors that have taught me to look beyond what the classroom teaches. I have buried myself in books and blogs on design patterns, architecture, and good practices.

Over the years, I have done a mixture of development from computer graphics with Direct X to search engine development with Lucene and Solr to web development using ASP .NET and ASP .NET MVC. My love of learning has driven me to dive into different technologies and really understand them.

My chief technologies at the moment are ASP .NET MVC , C#, LINQ, jQuery, Entity Framework, NHibernate, WCF, and Lucene with Solr Server.

I feel very fortunate to have been surrounded by some of the Elegant Coders throughout my career and owe them for bringing me to the level that I am now. I feel even more fortunate that through my consulting, I get to work even closer with some of them. It is trully an honor to be an Elegant Coder.

Anyone that knows me knows that I am somewhat of an adrenaline junkie. I know, it is hard to believe that a geek would be running waterfalls and Class V+ rapids on their time off, but yes, I do that whenever possible.  I have been snowboarding since I was 16 and skiing for about 7 years prior to that. My love and passion for kayaking and snowboarding translate to the same love and passion that I have for software and design patterns.
