Triumph Tiger Modifications

I am so thankful for my Christmas presents for the Tigger!  Thank
you to everyone.

I currently have the bike torn to pieces in the garage right now and
am in the process of performing the following mods.

  1. Tubeless conversion.  I am sealing my spoke rims to get rid of
the tubes so that I can repair a flat with a plug and get going again.
  2. Hawke Oiler
I am installing a Hawke Oiler for frequent and dependable chain oiling.  Longer
life, less fear of mud and dirt.
  3. Heated
    Grips
.  I am so excited about this.  I didn’t know I needed them until
    I rode a
Now I can’t live without them.  I ordered a special “cosmetically acceptable”
dual-pole switch from DigiKey that snaps into
    the dash.
  4. Handlebar
    Risers
.  I tried these on Jay
    Jobes’ bike
and fell in love.  The model that I chose allows for front and
back adjustment as well as providing a 2 inch rise.
  5. Universal Vista Cruise
    Control
.  I don’t know how I have lived this long with the Tiger not having
a throttle lock.  I could never have ridden cross country last year without one.
I can’t wait to get all the mods done and get the bike back on
the road. I’ll post progress here.
