VS Live 1.0
We are sitting in the presentation room waiting for Aaron Skionnard’s full day workshop
on Indigo. I am genuinely looking forward to this presentation as I have heard
Aaron present before when he was with DevelopMentor. He is an extremely effective
presenter.
What about Vegas?
I have never been here before, and not knowing what to expect I was surprised to find
just how gritty and seedy this place is. It is as bad as the French Quarter.
After making this observation to Scheller he responded, “Next thing you’re going
to tell me is, ‘McDonald’s is really fast food.’” Yeah, yeah, I know.
I am just a bit taken aback by it.
Things I have seen so far:
- More slot machines than I knew existed
- Elvis impersonators
- Naked women on business card littering the streets
- Giant sailing ships
- A huge waste of water in the desert
This place is worse than Times Square, which I recently had the privilege of visiting.
