My wonderful wife purchased a 4Gen 20G iPod for me for Father’s Day. I love
having it and so far I have listened to a lot of Pod Casts and Old Time Radio shows.
I am scraping OTR with Star Dowloader from www.rusc.com,
which stands for Are You Sitting Comfortably. I actually paid for a 3 month
subscription, my first pid content subscription of any kind ever.
I am using News Gator to pull MP3s from Pod Casts, not a true pod catching client.
Turns out that I like having to take a pro-active action to pull a pod cast instead
of just having it pushed to me. The reason is that there is just a lot of junk
out there that I don’t want to hear, so I can be selective about my content.
I am using Media Monkey to arrange my library. It is a free media organizer
and does a fairly good job.
My number one lesson so far? Organizing your media tags makes or breaks the
whole experience of using the media on your device. I have about 20G of music
that I am going to have to incrementally fix IDC tags in.
