Well, Microsoft is apparently at least trying to stuff rags into the holes in their
Windows. According to this
article, MS is launching a new enterprise server system for doing virus scans
or something like that. They also have created the “SecureIT Alliance” to ensure
that it’s virus checking lackeys like Symantec will still be able to do the heavy
lifting.
It has always struck me that when Windows or Office is the system under attack
by a virus, shouldn’t Microsoft be accountable for ensuring that the virus can’t win?
I could be totally wrong, of course. People add aftermarket alarms to their
cars. Is this the same thing?
