Tablet PC as a Development Machine

Has anyone out there tried a tablet PC as your primary machine?

I find myself in more meetings than I code lately and I am always lugging my laptop
so that I can take notes in One Note or make mind maps in Mind Manager.  This
seems sort of silly since I am not getting the advantages of ink in One Note or in
Mind Manager 6 which supports ink.

I do want to ensure that I can still use Visual Studio, though.  I don’t spend
even half of my time writing code anymore, but I do enough to know that I don’t want
it to be painful when I do get the chance to code.

I see that Toshiba, HP, and Acer are all contenders with units that can run 2G RAM
and full size (I think) keyboards.  This could be a genuine laptop replacement,
couldn’t it?  I have been using laptops for years instead of desktops, so I have
already made that jump.

Experiences or advice?
