Life With My Geeks

Category:General PostTag: :

I’m changing the name of the column.  Uber-nerd boy has crossed over, no longer a nerd boy.  He has blossomed, and now I have in my care two full fledged geeks.  This may be more responsibility than I can handle;  I may buckle under the pressure, but I promise to try my very best to contain the potential havoc they could wreck upon all us neurotypicals.

I once said to my geek, "You’re not wearing that to work, are you?"  To which he replied, "Well, yeah, what’s wrong with it?  The stripes on the shorts are going the same direction as the stripes on the shirt, so that means it matches."

Yesterday morning I said to uber-nerd boy, "You’re not wearing that to school, are you?" To which he replied, "What’s wrong with it?  It’s all the same color, so that means it matches."

And then, right then, it hit me.  He’s a young geek now.
