I installed Miguel
Jimenez’s CAPTCHA solution last week. It works, for the most part, but has
one single problem that I find unacceptable.
When a user mistypes the code, or forgets to enter the code, the postback that occurs
loses the test that the user has entered into the other fields of the form.
I know for a fact that this has resulted in at least one user losing a post that he
had entered.
I have checked other sites
that are using the control and they all work the same way. I will leave feedback
for Miguel and see if it gets any traction, but for now I have removed the CAPTCHA
validation requirement for leaving comments.
Update
In reviewing Miguel’s site, I see that he is working on these issues and I will stay
tuned for the next version.
