Agile 2006 – Day 3 Report

Rather than pick on individual speakers or sessions, I would like to simply discuss
today qualitatively.  I enjoyed it and was glad to be here .

I went to several sessions on appropriate metrics in Agile and Scrum environments.
I am excited to stop bugging people for information that doesn’t really matter when
I get home.

I spent an entire day at a technology conference during which I saw not one line of
code.  This Agile thing is truly a new thing for us nerds.  All of a sudden
we are talking to each other.  It is weird.  It is good.  I am happy
to be a part of it.

Tonight I met Scott Ambler on a riverboat as we cruised the Mississippi.  He
is cool and was not nearly as tipsy as I was.

I also met the CEO of Version 1 and he bought me a few scotches.  OK, four.
I expressed an opinion on his product road map.  Scotch makes me collaborative
and irritatingly friendly.  I think he liked me .

I also saw Martin Fowler from a distance but his goons and halo effect glow kept us
commoners away.

Viki won a rugby ball and tomorrow we will try to get all of the authors to sign it.
Awesome.

I am going to bed.
