A quick word

A new president was installed today in time of peril for everyone on our planet.  I wish President Obama all the best.  May he lead with wisdom, integrity, and honesty.

It is important to realize once in a while, there are more important things than programming.

  1. I was glued to the stream all day, I must admit.

I am a veteran of the first gulf war and have voted in every election since I was able. At no point in my life do I remember the kind of feeling that was evoked today around the country.

For the first time in my experience, it seems that the American people are excited without cynicism about a president. That makes me excited, too.

    Cheers.

  2. I don’t get it. If there is something more important than programming, can you at least give a hint what it is?

    🙂 sorry couldn’t resist.

  3. I was able to shake our new Presidents hand at a rally in Minneapolis in July of 2007.

Hopefully this wave of optimism helps lift our economy. Notably the tech sector. 🙂

  4. There’s still cynicism. It’s just switched aisles. ;^)

Truthfully though, I’m hopeful given that I’ve even heard hard core conservatives willing to give the man the benefit of the doubt.

Then again, given expectations from some of his electing constituency include “walking on water”, I’m pretty sure someone’s going to find reason to complain…

    ;^)
