Further validating my amazement at the Internet’s effectiveness is the fact that I
have a pending sale on my camper. I advertised this camper in our local
paper for 2 weeks and then put an add on RV
Trader.
The 2 weeks on the Boise paper were pretty slow. Maybe 8 calls and 3 looky loos. Then
I went into the RV Trader and I started getting calls from as far away as Austin,
TX. These people are serious, too. One guy in Seattle was going to come over this
week and I have several who have asked to be on a waiting list in case this deal falls
through this weekend.
Like the motorcycle that I bought a full 2500 miles away, this camper is a product
that will appeal to a fairly small group. It is VERY large.
I continue to be delighted with the way that we have truly built a global ( national
in this case ) marketplace. Acceptance of the Internet is at a point where non-technical
people are willing to make truly day to day and pocket book affecting decisions from
resources they find online. Now, how to use this for my own evil gains…?
