I haven’t really gotten caught up in the delicious, Technorati, or the whole Portmanteau scene.
I must be getting old, because much of what the web 2.0 offers just seems like a remix
of golden oldies to me.That said, my most valued technical RSS feed I have aggregated is just such an
RSS mashup. DotNetKicks is a
predictably simple idea and like many simply good ideas, it just works.
A registered community of readers submits and votes for various blog posts from around
the web.My recent reading about social software societies in The
Best Software Writing 1 explains why this model of group administration is so
effective. But, you don’t need to understand it to see that it works. The resulting feed is a syndication of pointers to the best blogging the web
has to offer about .Net. As it turns out, that is pretty darn good stuff.
I make it a point to read until I learn something at least once every day. It
usually takes less than a minute.Aggregate DotNetKicks here.
