Google Desktop Search

Scott Hanselmann has a great post on
the details of Google Desktop Search, so
I will leave out the techie bits, but I just have to say this this is a great little
app.

Now, the next logical question is, “Can I gain programmatic access
to it?”  I will be poking at that.  Is this a viable search solution to
compete with MS Indexing service or DotLucene?
