New York

Matt
Berther
and I flew in to LaGuardia airport today along with
some other co-workers to attend to a client tomorrow.  Neither of us have ever
been to New York before and we are rather non-plussed thus far.

I don;t know what I was expecting, but so far this isn’t it.  This place is kind
of, well, dirty.  And loud.  It really just reminds me of Houston or Highway
99 in Seattle.  It is really industrial.

We are on Long Island, so we haven’t seen a heck of a lot yet.  I’m sure it will
get better.  We are hoping to get into the city tomorrow night or Friday, but
that will depend on the client’s needs.

If you had one night and one day to spend in New York City, what would you do?
These are possibles:

  • Times Square
  • Empire State Building
  • Ground Zero
  • Ride the subway
  • Eat a bagel at a deli

Living in Idaho, I am easily impressed, so here are a list of things that I hope to
see while in New York.

  • Mimes
  • A gang of some sort
  • Break dancers
  • A mugging
  • Prostitutes
  • Graffiti
  • Conan O’Brien
  • A really, really, really big building
  • Taxi cabs
  • A truly obvious drug dealer
  • Donald Trump
  • Street musicians
  • A juggler
  • A chalk outline with a blood spot
