New York — Check

Been there, done that.  That was fun, but I don’t need to do that again any time
soon.

We had a weird situation develop wherein we ended up driving to Boston and back.
So all in all, we went from Idaho to Long Island to Manhattan to Boston to La
Guardia to Boise in about 72 hours.  Here are some things that we saw and were
able to check off of the “I’ve never seen that before” list.

  • 5 Boston cops jacking up a homeless guy in front of Fenway Park.
  • Someone riding a Seqway.
  • The Green Monster and David Ortiz hitting a grand slam against the Devil Rays.
  • Times Square.
  • Penn Station.
  • 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
  • The NYC subway.
  • MIT
  • The today show set.
  • St. Patrick’s Cathedral
  • Central Park
  • Broadway
  • A Long Island bimbo with Ghetto nails on the train.  She talked so much that
I never heard a pause in over 45 minutes.
  • Unintelligible NYC policemen.  Matt tried to ask them how the subways work, but
    couldn’t understand them
  • Street musicians.
  • Newberry Street in Boston.
  • Madison Square Garden
  • Rosie O’Grady’s Broadway room and a snifter of McAllen’s ( thank to SS ).
  • Incredibly drunk girl on the subway.
  • A stoned couple copulating on the sidewalk in Times Square. Almost, anyway.
  • A store named “Hot and Crispy“
  • The Boston marathon starting line.
  • Berkeley School of Music
  • Limos made from an Escalade, a Hummer, an Excursion.
  • A dangling outtie: aka  ( D.O. ).  Don’t ask.

I will summarize like this: I can understand why people might want to live there,
but I do not understand how they can ever get any peace.
